The 2026 HR-V is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine putting out 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. Fisher Honda Dealership It comes standard with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and there are selectable drive modes including Normal, ECON, and Snow. Real-Time AWD is available on all trims for better traction when needed. Fuel economy with front-wheel drive is about 26 mpg city / 32 mpg highway / 28 mpg combined, while with AWD it's approximately 25/30/27 mpg.
Exterior
The 2026 HR-V features a clean, modern design with flowing lines and elevated finishing touches. Slender LED headlights are standard, and higher trims (Sport, EX-L) offer 18-inch alloy wheels with unique finishes (gloss black or machine-finished with Berlina black inserts). The Sport trim adds more attitude via a gloss-black grille, matte-black bumper treatments, and exclusive badging. Features like rear privacy glass and a slim spoiler are also part of the package on higher trims.
Interior
Inside, the HR-V seats five and provides versatile space with a 60/40 split second row for folding down to accommodate larger items. Standard trim (LX) has comfortable cloth upholstery; the Sport and EX-L bring heated front seats, leather-trimmed seating in EX-L, and more upscale touches. The EX-L adds dual-zone automatic climate control, a one-touch power moonroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel & shift knob. Interior measurements are good: about 41.9 in front legroom / ~37.7 in rear, headroom ~39.4 front / ~38 rear, shoulder & hip room competitive. Cargo volume is ~24.4 cu ft with rear seats up, and folds down to ~55.1 cu ft when second row is folded.
Technology
The 2026 HR-V gets upgraded tech: base models now include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (previously smaller) along with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®. Higher trims also get a wireless phone charger. Other standard features include Honda Sensing® suite of driver-assist systems, active noise cancellation, LED interior ambient/footwell lighting in certain trims, plus convenience touches like remote engine start.
